The Centurion Club, Herts
The Centurion Golf Course is a relatively new course set partly amongst pine woodland to the west of St. Albans . The course measures over 7100 yds and has already hosted championship events such as the SIXES tournaments, the Aramco Team Series and was the first golf course to stage the LIV Tour and as such has hosted golfers of the stature of Phil Mickelson, Jason Brooks and Sergi Garcia. Currently the club host international ladies PIF Championships.
The greens are seeded with a pure bent grass making them both fast and true and with the bunker edges interestingly shaped there is a distinctive feel of an inland links course. Most holes have some 5 sets of tees and are designed to provide wonderful views of the each golf hole. The course is always maintained to the highest levels and is already categorised in the top 100 golf course in the UK.
Currently there is a planning application submitted to extend the course to 27 holes.
