Bovis /Vistry Ltd. commissioned the construction of Phase 1 of the part reconfiguration of the golf course which was completed in 2021/22 . Now phase 2, which affects holes 3,4 5 and 6, and has recently been approved for planning has been given the green light to proceed. The work will require the construction of 4 new greens and tees, fairway shaping , plus the redesign of the large lake in the centre of the course. Because of the nearby brook and its tendency to flood the works are environmentally extremely sensitive. The works will start on the new holes in 2025 /26 ready for opening in 2027.
