Sherfield Oaks Golf Club

View through woods to green 1

The golf courses at Sherfield Oaks are one of a rare brand of new 36 hole public pay as you play developments. The two courses are situated to the north of Basingstoke and set amongst existing woodland and mature parkland. The brief was to design one reasonably long 18 hole course – the Wellington, and a shorter Executive course – the Waterloo. The Waterloo has been designed as the slightly tighter of the two courses requiring accuracy and decision making off the tee whilst the longer Wellington course tends to play more around established trees and through mature woodland. It is a course designed to challenge the shot making skills as well as the putting abilities of the better golfer.

The course was constructed by Test Valley Management and is currently managed by American Golf.
