Sketch for bunkering - Green 17

A complete overhaul of the course was carried out and it was agreed that the problem of the bunkers had to be addressed first . The main problems with the bunkers were:

a) location
b) wear and tear
c) affects of wind blow
d) sand splash
e) loss of original shape

Green 17 - completed

A programme of complete reconstruction was carried out and, to recapture the heathland qualities of the course, heather was re-introduced to some of the bunker banks. The new bunkers have greatly improved the strategic nature and decision making required when playing the course, making it a true test for the low handicap golfer.
