Hösel Golf Club, Germany

Lake lining & stone featuring

The company have carried out extensive work abroad with the most recent construction being the new 18 holes at the Hösel Golf Club, nr Dusseldorf in Germany. The layout of the new course was particularly difficult as it had to incorporate the existing 18 hole course into the layout so that when completed there were two courses both over 6000 metres and both with the same relative difficulty. Nevertheless the layout has been successful and the south course recently hosted the German Ladies Open.

North Course - New hole 14

The site was a particularly large one situated in an open agricultural landscape. This is reflected in the design of the course which - in response - has large bunkers, greens and tees with free flowing mounding. Extensive tree planting was also included to complement large areas of grassland and all this has helped to set the course as naturally as is possible into its own setting.
